Who Am I?
Hello and Welcome to my Profile!
My name is Simran Dutta and I am a student in York University, studying for an ITEC honors degree.
I generally enjoy reading fictional books and binging movie franchises! But when it comes down to brass tacks, I like to write and review code, mostly centered around automation and websites.
What Have I Accomplished?
My interest in code began when I was tasked to build games! My first ever project was a simple line shooter written in java, where the player would move up and down a line and defend from enemies!
My most recent projects however involved connecting to servers using keys and processing the data files, before tying it up in a neat bow format and uploading it to appease the bot on the destination server.
How Does Repair-work fit into all this?
While my academic life is mostly focused on software, a large part of my familial life is spent repairing and solving problems!
I’ve done anything from replacing a set of stairs, to basic plumbing, wire connecting, wall painting, light fixing, and more!
One of the biggest projects I have worked on was building a pond from scratch!
Here’s a Small Account on the Repair work I’ve done in the Past:
- Replacing an old set of carpeted stairs with a new set of wooden ones
- Planning and building of a standing desk
- Planning and making of an outdoor pond
- Patching up drywall and holes on the ceiling
- Replacing a light fixture with potlights
- Adjusting garage doors
- drain cleaning, pipe leak fixing, toilet replacing
