Introduction

hi if you have a bad battery just remove the front-aluminum cover by prying it off then undo the torx screws and the light comes apart order the new battery , solder the old plug (from old battery) on to new battery , then screw front on replace aluminum cover and bob is your uncle fresh battery good light , one less landfill problem . the company refuses to provide despite the ease of fix and savings to the world in throwaways.

    • Pry off the front-aluminum cover using a small slotted screwdriver

    • Remove front aluminum cover by peeling it off

    • Undo the torx screws and remove the lamp cover

    • easily pulls apart battery connector in middle blue circle keep it you need to swap it for the one on the new battery as it is the correct one

    • batterry in back remove and resolder old connector on new battery replace and close

    how was front faceplate removed from body. it looks to be glued or clipped? you mentioned it needed prying. what did you use? screwdriver or something softer to not damage seal or gap between body and faceplate?

    I’ve just done this and the front just pops off. The seal is behind the finned section. The face plate is for decoration.
