Background

The DJI Phantom 2 Vision is a drone made by DJI in 2013. The model number is PV330. It was a part of the release of the Phantom 2 Series products which also included the DJI Phantom 2 and DJI Phantom 2 Vision+. It can connect to your smartphone, IOS or Android, through the DJI Vision App with WIFI. It is piloted with a remote control by the App. It has a camera mounted onto a swiveling gimbal that can produces HD quality video at different angles.

The DJI Phantom 2 Vision is mainly used for filming video at medium distances. Controls are described by users as easy to learn. It has a maximum operating distance of 300m. It does have a smart battery, which for the 2013 had a good flight time of 20-25 minutes per battery. Most malfunctions reported are related to keeping a signal consistently connected to the drone, but this should be prevented on the app by setting the maximum distance your drone can fly.

DJI has ended its support for the DJI Phantom 2 Vision on September of 2022.
